GAME SPEED TUNE UP (20 MIN)

Focus is game speed post work and shooting…will support cardio workout

 

___Running Mikans (Best with a group of 3) (5 each side)

-          High Post

-          Drop steps with inside foot planted as pivot

-          Outside foot drops back in one big step

-          Work toward no dribble shot, but one dibble is okay too

-          Alternate elbows


____Low Post Step into A and Reframe inside


____Low Post Step into A and Reframe outside


____Low Post reverse for the lob pass

 

___10 Elbow to Elbow (Best with a group of 2-3) (5 each side)

-          Inside foot plants as you catch the ball to shoot

-          staying in elevator as you prepare to catch and shoot

 

___10 Elbow to Elbow Side or Back Seals (Best with a group of 2-3) (5 each side)

-          Inside foot plants and is pivot foot as you catch the pass

-          Fake shot (emphasis) into high rip

-          Outside foot foot fights and gets defender on side or back (in jail)

-          Take the shot

 

___10 Elbow to Elbow Spin Dribble (Best with a group of 2-3) (5 each side)

-          Inside foot plants and is pivot foot as you catch the pass

-          Fake shot (emphasis) into high rip

-          Take the shot


___5 Lines (should take 50-70 sec per athlete) (Best with a group of 2-3)

-  Or with group of 2-4, everyone goes around the world and back, allow for missed shots to be put backs if ball caught in air and shot again before feet hit the ground by teammate

 

-          COMPETITION:

-  3 Spot Shooting up to 50 for time (as fast as you can)

 

-          COMPETITION:

-  6 Layups, 4 Free Throws, 2 Three Pointers

- If alone play it like you are competing for a prize at a Timberwolves Game during half time
