Need to send out basic strategy and reminders for the players as we will not have a practice before our first tournament.

Schedule volunteer activity; leaning towards picking a lake park in Eagan and picking up trash for an hour one day.

Expected costs per family:
Somewhere in the ball-park cost is $60 / family for practice space.
And somewhere between $35-$45 per tourney.
(Tourney RSVP texted to all families - - Pls RSVP as soon as you can hopefully this weekend).

Ben is working to reserve the practice space for us and we should know more by 10MAR2025.
We are aiming to have the practices at the same location and time every week for easy planning.
As pictured above, we will look for opportunities to scrimmage other teams.

Here's some more details and reminders
This is a no-profit deal - The Coaches, parent planners, etc... aren't paid & the group will split the costs for everything except the jersey.
No profit means if we end up with any extra cash at the end, for whatever reason, we will evenly split it back to the families.
The intent of this group is to provide a place for our girls to build for the future.
Championships are not won on the night of the big game.
They are won by the work done when no one else is watching.
This spring 2025 will put HEAVY focus on shooting, post footwork, and physicality.
We will compete in 7th Grade A - 8th Grade A tournaments.
Playing time will be as close to even as possible, with considerations made for our athletes' attitude and effort in practice and if they are clearly out of breath or in need of rest.
That will be a coach's decision.
We will split the cost for tournaments and practice space amongst each other.
We are working on securing Practice space, expecting 2 90 min. practices a week. (Ben)

General Expectations:
We expect outstanding sportsmanship from parents, players and coaches to each other, their competition, the refs, other parents and the the MYAS staff.
If this becomes an issue, I will first have a conversation with the player, parent or coach, and if the behavior persists, I will remove the player from the roster. In extreme situations, removal from the team can occur immediately. I do not expect any of this to happen, but if it does, no money already paid will be reimbursed.
You must demonstrate good communication with your coaching team. If you are unable to make a practice or tournament, your coach must be notified at your earliest ability. No money can be reimbursed for missed events already paid for, including practices and tournaments.
